PassMark ModemTest is an easy-to-use Windows based ÛÛÛ Û

²Û Two different test methods are provided. The first Û²
²Û test method uses two telephone lines and two modems Û²
²Û in a master / slave configuration. The master dials Û²
²Û the phone number of the slave modem and after a Û²
²Û successful connection, data packets are exchanged Û²
²Û between the master and slave. The second test Û²
²Û method requires only a single modem and no Û²
²Û telephone line. A local loop back is done on the Û²
²Û analog side of the modem, ModemTest then sends data Û²
²Û packets which are echoed back by the modem. In both Û²
²Û cases ModemTest communicates to the modem using a Û²
²Û COM port. (In the case of Internal modems or USB Û²
²Û modems, this is a virtual COM port and not a Û²
