Bowie, Maryland's THE BURNING SEASON is a post-Hardcore / Metalcore act created during 2001 as WORLDS APART. The band entered the studio in mid-September 2004 to record their Hand Of Hope Records debut, 'The Haze Of Infatuation', produced by SCARLET's Scarlet's Andreas Magnusson. At this juncture the group comprised vocalist Mike Josleyn, guitarists Jason Keeney and Doug Paterno, bass player Frank Colesanti with Chris Josleyn on drums.
North American dates in April 2005 saw a union with CALICO SYSTEM seguing into extended dates with ACROSS APRILS and FIVE MINUTE RIDE. The group hit the US East Coast and Midwest in July packaged with CALDWELL, LEAVE IT AT THE DOOR and ASCEND IN RED. October witnessed shows packaged with ABEYANCE and HAND TO HAND.
In September 2006 THE BURNING SEASON recruited Bryan Zimmerman, previously of THE ASCENDING RED, as new rhythm guitarist. The group then headed into Richmond's Planet Red studio on October 9th, working with producers Andreas Magnusson and Chris Dowhan at the helm to begin recording their sophmore album. THE BURNING SEASON signed with Eulogy Records in December.
