DAWN OF SILENCE, a melodic Metal band formed in Finspång by members of IRON MAIDEN covers act FIFH WALOUR, was formulated in 2000 by three school friends guitarists Patrik Johansson and Mats Johansson with Torbjörn Edqvist on drums. Subsequently Mats younger brother Pelle joined on bass guitar. DAWN OF SILENCE issued the demos 'Eternity', cut at Lilla Polen studios in January 2002, followed by 'World Of Lies', in March 2003, and 'Follow Your Heart', that same November. Utilising Bergakungen studios in July 2004 DAWN OF SILENCE crafted the six song demo 'Fear Of Life' for August issue. This same locale was also used in June the following year for the 'Lost All Hope' sessions. Two tracks from the 'Fear Of Life' set, namely 'Seven Seas' and 'Born Out Of Grief', saw inclusion on the Pregal Records 'Platinum' compilation.
The band included the track 'Seeker Of Truth' on the compilation album 'Kingdom Of Glory - Volume 1' released by Enclave Productions in September 2005.
In 2006 the band enterprisingly self-funded recording of a debut album at Black Lounge studios, working with producer Jonas Kjellgren. Metal Heaven Records released the album 'Moment Of Weakness' on November 24th 2006.
