Clinton, Massachusetts Hardcore outfit. DIECAST cut their debut demo, 'Perpetual War', during April of 1997, putting in their first live shows that same June and issuing their first commercially available product 'Undo The Wicked' through Samson Records the following year. Recording line up for this outing comprised vocalist Colin Schleifer, guitarists Dave McGuire and Nassim Rizvi, bassist Jeremy Wooden and drummer Jason Costa. The Now Or Never label picked up the album for a 2000 re-issue and signed DIECAST for a brand new Paul Trust produced album entitled 'Day Of Reckoning' in February of 2001.

Jonathon Kita and Jason Costa set about founding a side project band in 2002. DIECAST lead vocalist Colin Schleifer put in his last show with the band at the New England Hardcore & Metal festival in May 2003. The band signed to the German Century Media label for issue of a new album 'Tearing Down Your Blue Skies', completing work on this opus in March 2004. The album, preceded by a video for the track 'Medieval' directed by Dale Resteghini, emerged in Europe during October.

The group scheduled US gigs in alliance with AGNOSTIC FRONT, HATEBREED, LOVE IS RED and THE AUTUMN OFFERING for the second leg of the 'Heavyweights Of Hardcore' tour in January 2005, following up with a round of shows into February allied with WINTER SOLSTICE and HOODS. A 2005 compilation inclusion of note would be the track 'Medieval' featured on the 'Code Red' album, an exclusive collection given to US Marine Corps soldiers active duty in the Middle East.

Summer 2005 dates in Europe had the band packaged with NAPALM DEATH and MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD. Unexpected exposure came for the band when the track 'Rise And Oppose' was featured on the soundtrack to a national Volkswagen commercial. The band unified with 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and IF HOPE DIES for September gigs, following up with a road alliance packaged with ILL NINO and GIZMACHI. October US dates saw the band forming up a billing with BOBAFLEX, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE and BLEED THE SKY. However, the band was forced to pull out of these shows when drummer Jason Costa departed without warning.

Enrolling a fresh rhythm section comprising ex-BREADINGROUND bassist Brad Horion and TANTRUMN drummer Dennis Pavia DIECAST entered the studio in late May 2006 with producer Zeuss to cut a new album 'Internal Revolution'. The group filmed a video for the song 'Fade Away' director David Brodsky in early September. DIECAST scheduled a rash of US dates allied with NONPOINT that same month. During October DIECAST shot a video for the song 'Fade Away' directed by David Brodsky. Subsequently a string of East Coast dates with A LIFE ONCE LOST, label mates GOD FORBID, SWORN ENEMY and IN THIS MOMENT preceded a five week stint backing SEPULTURA.
