POWERWOLF is an Essen based Power Metal act, founded by the brothers Charles and Matthew Greywolf, and led by Rumanian classically trained Opera singer Attila Dorn. POWERWOLF drummer Stefane Funèbre previously went by the title of Udo Lambrecht. Signing to Metal Blade Records the band recorded the debut album 'Return In Bloodred', released in April 2005, at Studio Fredman in Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström.
October found POWERWOLF as support to the GAMMA RAY / NOCTURNAL RITES European tour.
Second album 'Lupus Dei', issued in May 2007, was again cut at Studio Fredman with parts also recorded in a 12th century chapel. The song 'In Blood We Trust' was embellished with a 30-piece classical choir.
