LINE UP

Jocke Göthberg (vocals), Jesper Strömblad (bass), Glenn Ljungström (guitar), Hasse Nilsson (drums)

Gothenburg's DIMENSION ZERO boast a bona fide heavyweight line-up with the inclusion of IN FLAMES guitarist Jesper Strömblad, on bass, ex-IN FLAMES six-stringer Glenn Ljungström, CHAMELEON guitarist Fredrik Johansson, erstwhile GRIMORIUM, MARDUK and DARKIFIED vocalist Jocke Göthberg (billed as "Grave") and also operating as drummer with CARDINAL SIN, plus LUCIFERION and DIABOLIQUE drummer Hasse Nilsson.

DIMENSION ZERO debuted with an April 1994 demo session 'Screams From The Forest'. During 1996 the band drafted guitarists Fredrik Johansson and Glenn Ljungström. They would follow with the 1997 mini-album 'Penetrations Of The Lost World' issued through War Music. In 1998 the band, minus Johansson, donated a Death Metal revision of SEPULTURA's 'Troops Of Doom' to the Black Sun tribute album ''Sepulchral Feast'' although this saw IN FLAMES drummer and SACRILIGE vocalist Daniel Svensson at the helm. Another track, 'My Demon', would be supplied to a MERCYFUL FATE tribute.

Göthberg returned later the same year as DIMENSION ZERO drew out of the shadows once more depositing 'They Are Waiting For Us' to the 'War Dance' compilation. This act though would be announced as the band's swansong and DIMENSION ZERO duly folded.

By 2000 the band resumed activity. DIMENSION ZERO now listed as Jocke Göthberg, Jesper Strömblad, Glenn Ljungström and new member Daniel Antonsson from PATHOS on Guitar. DIMENSION ZERO reconvened in Gothenburg's Studio Fredman in 2001 to record a full length album 'Silent Night Fever'. DIMENSION ZERO added PATHOS guitarist Daniel Antonsson to the ranks in 2002.

The band's opening EP 'Penetrations From The Lost World' would see a re-issue in 2003, adding two previously unreleased tracks plus a cover of THE BEATLES 'Helter Skelter' and material recorded live in Japan. A brand new studio album 'This Is Hell' followed but minus Glenn Ljungström, who exited in August. The ex-guitarist would subsequently forge PITCHLINE in union with former GARDENIAN vocalist Jim Kjell. Scheduling tour dates for November, DIMENSION ZERO opted to persevere as a quartet.

The band united with IMMEMORIAL and HANDFUL OF RAIN for European dates in February 2004. Guitarist Daniel Antonsson joined SOILWORK as a temporary member in April 2006. DIMENSION ZERO returned to the recording studio to cut tracks for a third album in November 2006. Recordings were wrapped up in mid December.

DIMENSION ZERO rejigged their line-up for an appearance at the Close-Up Båten festival boat cruise leaving Stockholm on February 5th 2007, seeing Jocke Göthberg on vocals, Hasse Nilsson on drums, Jesper Strömblad on guitar alongside PATHOS' Daniel Antonsson with bass supplied by LORD BELIAL guitarist Niclas Andersson. Antonsson was announced officially as new guitarist for SOILWORK in early March.
