Southern edged Thrashers DISARRAY debuted with a 1993 demo entitled 'Tragic Cause' upfront of a brace of EP releases, 'Widespread Human Disaster' in 1994 and the 1996 set 'Bleed' on the Inner V.O.I.D. label. Fans would also be treated to a live cassette release, 'Spreading The Death Plague', recorded at The Cannery in Nashville in December 1997. The group had been initiated during 1993 by high school friends vocalist / guitarist Chuck Bonnett and drummer Shane Harmon, subsequently bringing onboard rhythm guitarist Jim Johnson and bassist Jerry Lomax. For 'Bleed' Joe 'Hooch' Dotson would contribute additional bass guitar. Dotson switched to guitar and Chris Looney took over bass duties.
The full length album 'A Lesson In Respect' arrived in 1999 on the New Jersey based indie label Eclipse Records. The DISARRAY line up for this outing would see the group format back down to a trio with Dotson re-installed on bass and Tony Moseley taking command of the drums. That same year DISARRAY donated their rendition of 'Tom Sawyer' to the Dwell Records RUSH tribute album 'Red Star'. The following year would witness a whole crop of cover versions for the Dwell concern including 'Just One Fix' for the MINISTRY tribute 'Devilswork', 'Cowboys From Hell' on the PANTERA 'Panther' tribute, 'Delivering The Goods' for the JUDAS PRIEST 'Hell Bent For Metal 2' collection, 'Rise' to a second PANTERA effort 'Southern Death', 'Subliminal' to the SUICIDAL TENDENCIES homage 'Suicide In Venice' and 'Blur The Technicolor' for a WHITE ZOMBIE tribute.
The 2002 DISARRAY album 'In The Face Of The Enemy' was produced by Dave Brockie ('Oderus Ungerus') of GWAR infamy. Both Ungerus and GWAR colleague Balsac would guest on the album. By this juncture Bonnett had been joined by an all new cast of bass player Vance Wright and David Peridore on the drums. DISARRAY toured heavily to promote this outing, sharing stages with CROWBAR, BIOHAZARD, CLUTCH and naturally GWAR. The band wrapped up recording of a new album entitled 'Edge Of My Demise' in early 2005 wich was released in 2007.
