Intuition could be summed up as a tripped out journey through time and space. Something beautiful and compelling that draws you in with each beat, note and tone, mixed effortlessly into a stunning mellow mind escape. This is the first mix cd to come from Within Records, digitally mixed by Aural Imbalance, featuring some of their beautiful tracks from the past, as well as new tracks taken from their upcoming Intuition EP.
A smooth layer of ambient sounds roll in as the cd starts. 'Monothy & Jahk Bass' warm things up well and proper with an amazing blend of trippy sounds, liquid atmospheres and faint drum movements gliding along a solid bassline. 'Stone Wardrobe' is a blanket of sound that captures you and then drips into 'Ambitronical'. Aural Imbalance along with Scamp delivers a dreamy textured song with low sub bass, deep electronic rolling sounds, and staticy drums. A floaty light breaky tune thats beat matched into a gorgeous sliding number called 'Music'. Morphetech & Darren Apps turn in a melodious, swirling synth break beat tune that warms the soul. Aural Imbalance lends his production skill and remixes the song into a dreamy low tune, with a bubbling bassline.
Beautiful sweeps of ambient pads lower down and fall into 'Monothistic'. Monothy's swirling sounds play along with clicks and beeps, backed into a watery atmosphere. The drums are slow and intricate and move perfectly into 'Theta' by Deep Space Organisms. A synth line moves with congo drums, a low bassline, and mellow breaks. Sweeping synths twirl up and down, and ascend into 'Genetica'; a smooth rich tune from 'Aural Imbalance'. Trippy melodies walk tightly over a thick watery bassline. Sprinkled electronic sounds add to the depth and lushness of the song, before oozing into the watery world of 'Translucent'. Another production from Aural Imbalance that has a nice groove mixed in with light stabs and twisted sounds that grow and build. Slight pad changes and waves of sound drop into 'Osmosis'; the final tune from Aural Imbalance that drops in with the drums. Electronic beeps move side to side and swing with a nice groove. Ambient pads wash slowly over a reverbed bed of effects and drop into the last song, 'Sunset In Moratowa'. Taevalaotus has created a very ethic-sounding tune full of life. Handrums layer on top of toms while light synths play into the Indian influence and close the compilation leaving you feeling warm and breathless to the beauty of sounds from Within.
Within Records has a beautiful niche they have created for themselves. Their own lush and watery grooves that infiltrate your mind, your body and your soul.
